On Saturday October 2, 2010 Alamo SCI along with Joshua Creek Ranch is offering to its members, at a reduced rate, a Driven Pheasant Shoot. Don't miss out on the wonderful opportunity to hunt at Joshua Creek Ranch and enjoy some magnificent amenities. The hunt will start at 9 am (arrive by 8:30) where you will have a great time experiencing the triple trap wobbler with clay targets. This trap is set up to simulate the driven pheasant shoot and throws up to three clays simultaneously, giving you the opportunity to get into the swing of fast, high, incoming targets before you go to the drives for live birds. From there you will be taken to two different sites to shoot pheasant. In between the drives you will enjoy a break with refreshments and comradery. Then you will do a short walk up hunt with guides and dogs to hunt up the pheasant that got past the guns on the drives. And to end the fun, you will be provided with an unforgettable lunch. Each hunter will have the opportunity to harvest up to 25 birds. And, when it's time for you to leave you will go with your share of the group's harvested birds, all processed, frozen, and placed in a souvenir bird bag. Like I said, all this fun and great hunting at a reduced rate of only $550.00 per hunter. Details for Trophy Awards
With our major Fundraiser Meeting set for August 14, our next biggest meeting will be the Awards Meeting set for January 11, 2011 at Holiday Inn Express. Not only will we have a great dinner and 20+ awards given out, we will also have at least 15 outfitters from around the world available to hand out their brochures and discuss their hunts on this key evening date between the Dallas and Houston Conventions. Best of all, enter one or more of your trophies hunted in 2008-2010, and YOUR DINNER WILL BE HALF PRICE. Just send in your SCI score sheets and a photo for each of your entries in the following categories.
