Meat Processing for Charity
February 2006
San Marcos, TX We took ten boys and
brought back ten young men from this weekend community service project.
It was a powerful life-changing experience, and we had a lot of fun, too.
We fully processed 77 deer for distribution to the poorest areas in Mexico.
Our host was an organization called Pacto con Dios, which collects deer,
operates the processing facility (including lodging), and distributes the
meat to the needy. Alamo SCI provided meals and transportation for the
participants in this project.
