Humanitarian Projects

Your Alamo Chapter SCI has joined in funding one (1) school for 2007 at Chifunda Zambia. We will post updated information and pictures for the 2007 Humanitarian Project in November upon receipt.

I have been doing bush medicine for 5 years in the Zambezi, Luangwa, & Kafue River valleys, also on the Zambezi escarpment. We have been treating kids for trachoma (the eye infection) worms, infections, ring worm, cuts, & burns. I would like to add the donation of mosquito nets to the kids in these areas. Last year I treated 1962 kids in 3 weeks and am scheduled to go back on 8-31 to the same areas. I see the same children every year and would like to prevent the malaria from killing them. I believe we as Safari Club can benefit from this in the international community and the local community. I have been well received for the last 5 years and have taken SCI members w me in the past so they could see the project. I have another SCI member going this year to "help".
