Hunting and Fishing Summer Camps
June-August 2006
Camp Wood, TX
We hosted some 50 youths over three 9-day sessions on the beautiful Living Water Ranch on the banks of the Nueces River. The participants enjoyed all kinds of hands-on hunting and fishing activities. The youth had nearly 100% success rate hunting, and many harvested the trophy of a lifetime, including two campers who harvested Bison with archery equipment, and two who shot gold-medal Axis bucks. Alamo SCI provided a significant amount of need-based scholarship funds for disadvantaged youth from the San Antonio area, as well as gear, to help make these camps possible.
